STORY AND HISTORY
In 1979 a group of young boys from town called Riihimäki(Finland) came together from two different rock bands and started to play 1950s rock and roll.
After playing and training they began to play their music in different places and the feedback was more than positive.
During the same year the band went to a competition trying to get -The King of Rock- Award, arranged by the biggest magazine of rock music in Finland.
When the competition got rought and tought, hundreds of rockbands had fallen and there were only 10 bands left for the final. There Frankie & Lovers came third and got their first recording contract.
A new page was turned out and the bands audience grew and they started to play in the large number of gigs all over the Finland.
Now we are living the year 2010 and the band is still going strong. The new album just came on the market and it is available in many music shops and also in webshops.
The speciality and the strenght of Frankie & Lovers is the same now as 32 years ago; "the boys are always giving their best and it is easy to see that they are willing to play rock music today and tomorrow!"
